Ice fishing, locally called pilkkiminen, is a Finnish hobby that local people enjoy.
After departing Rovaniemi City Centre the guide will provide warm overalls and driv you to a good fishing area on the river Ounasjoki. After arriving at the fishing spot we drill holes in the river ice and set up the fishing equipments, pilkki, the guide then shares local advice on how to ice fish. You can then start catching perches, whitefish, roaches or bikes.
After 1 1/2 hour of fishing we go back with hopefully a lot of big fishes!
